Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Avery Psychology and Family Services. We want you to feel informed and comfortable as you begin therapy. Please take a few minutes to read through our key policies and your rights as a client.

Purpose of Therapy

Therapy is a space to support your emotional, psychological, and relational well-being. Your therapist will work with you in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment to explore your experiences and help you move toward your goals.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled at least 48 hours in advance via email or WhatsApp. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be charged the full session fee. If two sessions in a row are missed without notice, your therapist may review the continuation of therapy. Regular attendance helps you gain the most from your sessions.

Payment

Session fees are agreed upon with your therapist and listed on our website. Full payment is required to confirm your appointment. If payment is not received, your booking may be cancelled or rescheduled.

Confidentiality

Everything you share in therapy is confidential. Your therapist will not release any information about you without your written consent, except where required by law.

  • Risk of serious harm to yourself or others
  • Court-ordered disclosure
  • When working with minors under a legal guardian's care

Supervision & Quality Assurance

To ensure the highest quality of care, your therapist may discuss aspects of your case (without identifying details) in supervision or peer consultation. Supervisors are bound by the same confidentiality standards.

Records & Privacy

Your therapist keeps secure written or electronic records of your sessions. These records are confidential and accessible only to your therapist and, when applicable, their supervisor for professional review.
